Excursions and Camps
Our excursion program provides children with a broad range of learning experiences that cannot take place in the classroom. Each excursion is preceded by pre-learning and then a post excursion follow-up is conducted. Major excursions may include the Arts Centre, the Zoo, the Museum and live performances, as examples. Minor excursions may include visits to Sovereign Hill and local places that require little cost.
Navarre Primary School offers an exciting school camps program.
School camps are conducted annually and are always related to the topic of study.
Navarre Primary School also participates in an annual Pyrenees Cluster Leadership Camp which is held in Term 1 for all grade F – 6. This camp helps to forge strong partnerships and friendships with all student from across the cluster.

Swimming Program
A swimming program is provided through the Maryborough Sport and Leisure Center. The Swimming program takes place in term 4 and term 1 of each year.
Kitchen Garden
Each of our students has their own vegetable garden patch. Weekly kitchen garden lessons provide the students with the opportunity to learn how to grow and care for plants. Students learn how to propagate seedlings in our hot house and how to cook the produce they have grown.
